With meetings currently on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have recently helped one of our clients deliver a week of insightful webinars for their members.
These online sessions replaced our client’s annual week of face-to-face seminars which normally take place in several regions across the UK. Despite not being able to meet in person, there was still a comprehensive programme of key industry-specific topics and business builder sessions for members to enjoy.
Sessions were a maximum of one hour long with members having time to ask questions of the presenter and guest speakers after their presentations.
Attendance was more than three times what the usual face-to-face events see and the feedback on each of the seminars was excellent.
Planning and delivering eighteen seminars in one week with seven speakers and eight supporting guests takes some organising, promotion, and effort. Thankfully, we are well skilled in these areas and use project management software to make sure everything is done on time and events runs smoothly. We also always have a contingency plan especially for online events.
For presentations we work on a 25:1 principle – for every minute of presentation time there will be around 25 minutes of preparation. So, a 30-minute presentation will take around 12 hours to plan- create slides, rehearse and anticipate any questions.
For these seminars specific downloadable resources were also created so members could leave the seminar with everything they needed to consider and implement changes in their business.
We delivered these webinars using Zoom but have experience with Webex and GoToMeeting too.
